Why should I work with a travel advisor instead of booking online myself?
Great question. You absolutely can book online. The difference is support, expertise, and advocacy. I help you narrow down the right cruise line, resort, or destination based on your travel style and budget. I handle the details, monitor your booking, and step in if something goes sideways. Instead of a call center, you get a real person who knows your trip. Additionally, I often have access to exclusive rates, perks, or opportunities that are not available to the general public.
Do travel advisors cost extra?
In most cases, no. Cruises, hotels, tours, and all-inclusive resorts already build the travel advisor commission into the price, whether you use one or not. By working with me, you’re supporting my small business. You get my planning, guidance, and support at no additional cost. If you book on your own, the cruise line or resort simply keeps that commission amount for themselves.
For more complex itineraries or fully custom trips, I do charge a planning fee, which is always discussed and disclosed upfront.
Can a travel advisor save me money?
Yes, a travel advisor can often save you money, but the biggest value is usually helping you get more for your budget. I have access to current promotions, onboard credits, package deals, and supplier offers that many travelers never find on their own. Even when the price is the same, a travel advisor can help you avoid costly mistakes, choose the right itinerary or resort, and maximize the value of your vacation investment.
Why should I work with a travel advisor for a cruise?
Cruises can be surprisingly complex, with dozens of ships, cabin categories, dining options, drink packages, shore excursions, and promotions to consider. A travel advisor helps you choose the cruise that's the best fit for your travel style and budget while making sure you don't overlook important details. From planning and booking to answering questions before you sail and assisting if issues arise, you have an experienced advocate every step of the way.
What types of travel do you specialize in?
I can book ALL types of travel! However, I specialize in:
Cruises, including Caribbean, Alaska, and European sailings
All-inclusive resorts
Family vacations
Can you help with flights and travel insurance?
Yes. I can add flights to most cruise and resort packages and also help you choose travel protection options that make sense for your trip. I will walk you through what is covered so you can make an informed decision. I cannot recommend travel insurance enough! It’s a lifesaver!
What if something goes wrong during my trip?
If delays, cancellations, or unexpected issues pop up, I am here to help. While I cannot control the weather, airline schedules, or world events, I can advocate on your behalf and guide you through your options. You are never on your own.
I have already picked my cruise or resort. Can you still help?
Absolutely. If you already know what you want, I can book it for you, check for available perks or promotions, and make sure everything is set up properly.
Do you only work with luxury clients?
Not at all. I work with a wide range of budgets. My job is to help you get the best experience possible within your comfort zone.
How far in advance should I book?
For cruises and popular all-inclusive resorts, booking earlier is usually better, especially during peak seasons and for family travel. Ideally, 6 to 12 months in advance gives you the best selection and pricing. That said, I also love a good last-minute trip if the timing works.
Can you help plan group trips?
Yes. Family reunions, friend groups, birthday cruises, destination celebrations. I coordinate rooms/cabins, payments, and details so you do not have to chase everyone down. Traveling is more fun with more friends/family!
What is the best cruise line for families?
There isn't a single "best" cruise line for every family because the right choice depends on your children's ages, your budget, and the type of vacation you're looking for. Some families prioritize thrilling attractions and entertainment, while others value spacious accommodations, kids' clubs, or unique destinations. As your travel advisor, I'll help match your family with the cruise line and ship that's the best fit so you can make the most of your vacation. However, I highly recommend Royal Caribbean or Disney for most of my clients' families.
How do I get started?
Simple. Reach out through my inquiry form or send me a message. I will ask a few questions about what you are looking for, your budget, and your travel style. From there, I will put together options tailored just for you.
